About

Born in Switzerland, I arrived in Canada in 1985 to pursue my studies in Biology. I always like to draw. When I discovered the watercolor medium, I fell in love with it. So I decided to perfect this medium with several watercolorists.  I joined in 2009 the Arteast Ottawa Association and take part of various group exhibitions where I received Awards for my watercolors.

I am fascinated by the beauty of the Nature and I like specially painting flowers. The watercolor is alive and is magical. The movement of water carries the pigments to the chosen places and it is a source of surprises and unexpected that goes beyond the scientific framework in which I studied. You will recognize my realistic style but with a touch of musings.

Art and health are closely linked; when I started to create mandalas it help me to improve my creativity and my relaxation. I like the symmetry in forms and the harmony in colors, related to the sacred geometry in Nature.

To share the joy I have in painting, I followed in 2012 the Foundation course in art-educator from the Royal Conservatory of Ottawa. Since 2018 I am offering watercolor classes and mandalas drawing classes at the MIFO (mouvement d’implication francophone d’Orléans).

Née en Suisse, je suis arrivée au Canada en 1985 pour poursuivre mes études en biologie. Mes cahiers d’études ont toujours été remplis de dessins, et j’ai suivis dans mes temps libres plusieurs cours de peinture. Quand j’ai découvert l’aquarelle j’ai eu un coup de cœur!

L’aquarelle m’a propulsée dans la création artistique et j’ai consacré mon temps à perfectionner ce médium auprès de plusieurs aquarellistes. En 2009 j’ai rejoint l’Association Arteast Ottawa, où plusieurs de mes aquarelles ont reçu un prix.

La beauté de la nature m’a toujours fascinée et j’aime tout particulièrement peindre les fleurs. L’aquarelle est vivante et magique; avec le mouvement de l’eau, elle porte les pigments vers les endroits choisis et elle est source de surprises et d’inattendus qui sort du cadre scientifique dans lequel j’ai étudié. On reconnaîtra mon style réaliste, mais avec une touche de rêverie!

L’art et la santé sont étroitement liés, et c’est tout naturellement que je me suis mise à créer des mandalas. Cette symétrie des formes et cette harmonie des couleurs, stimule sans cesse ma créativité et me permet aussi une profonde relaxation.

 Pour partager la joie que j’ai de peindre, j’ai suivi en 2012 le cours de Fondation d’artiste-éducateur du Conservatoire Royal d’Ottawa. Et depuis 2018 j’offre des cours d’aquarelle et de création de mandalas au Mifo (mouvement d’implication francophone d’Orléans).

Festival des tulipes à Ottawa: présente le samedi 17 mai 2025 de 10h 18h pour une activité à l’aquarelle. Mes oeuvres étaient présentée tout au long de l’événement.
